Like A Champ
I did something today. Bought a house. It’s official. Holy crap did I jump through some hoops. Plus that’s what I was doing on Thanksgiving instead of posting how thankful for everyone I was, I stained the front and back deck and removed a fence at the request of the appraiser. Since I was renting and also lost the key to the front door I just figured I would buy the house. Anyone that knows me knows I hate moving so might as well buy it.
So while I had someone else tell how much they had going on, I understand. Between doing all the chores for the appraiser, getting not one but two false reports off my title, and trying to track down someone at a verification service that is used by Pandora to prove that I worked for them up until a year and a half ago to verify the w-2’s and tax returns I had provided. (Your HR department should be able to give you a code. “I don’t work for them! They don’t have a code for me!”) Plus also trying to get ready for a two day radiothon coming up and working with Mayo Clinic because they wanted me to come get an MRI and a new biopsy because my local urologist didn’t think I had cancer at first so he only took six core instead of 8 or 12. Now he’s leaving so he feels ok to admit he may not have gotten enough samples to show how severe the cancer is but since Mayo is taking over from here I should be in good hands. He thought I didn’t have cancer at first but to be on the safe side I decided to buy AFLAC but since you have to have your policy for 30 days before it takes effect and my diagnosis came about 34 days they have decided to have it reviewed for the last four months because it looks suspicious. I understand because I would be suspicious too but seriously after you have all the records how many months does it take to say yes or no?
Oh I’m sorry I was commenting on someone that told me they had a lot going on. I get it brother. We’ve all got a lot going on. It wasn’t actually my brother, I’m just using that phrase endearingly. So while my wife things I’m awesome for buying her a house I will soak it in for a bit while I know the truth is I hate moving more than anyone. I do have a great wife though who has been with me from switching companies to being diagnosed with cancer and marrying me on a whim. Thanks Trina Swafford We’re going to the Vertex tonight to celebrate.
